This working forest features miles of trails through diverse woodlands, wetlands, and meadows. The property is used for natural science education, habitat management, and quiet enjoyment of nature.
The Schwaegler Family at the Tree Farm
One of the fun discoveries on the property is the wild cranberry bog hidden in the outflow marsh at Indian Pond. The vines thrive in the special wetland conditions. In just half an hour of picking, we harvested 180 cranberries!

We hosted the 1998 New Hampshire State Tree Farm Field Day with demonstrations including portable sawmills, safe tree felling, horse logging, soil science, and more. It was a wonderful day of education and community.
